Hello, I’m Rachael.
Newborn and family photographer based in York.
Working from my own purpose-built studio close to the city centre, I’m also a mum of three and a maternity support worker, so supporting new parents and working with babies is very much part of my everyday life.
That background shapes how I work, helping me create a calm, patient and reassuring experience for every family who visits the studio.
How it all started.
From capturing family moments to photographing newborns.
My photography journey began during lockdown when my husband bought me my first camera. What started as a hobby on family walks, capturing small moments with our children, soon grew into something more.
Friends and family began asking me to photograph their memories, and over time, photography naturally became a big part of my life.
My studio.
A calm, purpose-built space for families.
I now work from a beautiful purpose-built studio in my garden. A calm, cosy space designed especially for newborn and family sessions.
Everything is set up to feel relaxed and unhurried, allowing you to enjoy your time in the studio while I capture natural, meaningful images.
Life outside photography.
Family life, furry friends and everyday moments.
When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually spending time with my family of five, our two dogs Barry and Bracken, and our three guinea pigs Basil, Dandy and Lion.
We love beach days, family adventures and making memories together — which is why capturing these moments for others means so much to me.
I'd love to welcome you into the studio. ♥

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better. I’d love to welcome you into the studio and capture something truly special for your family.
